You can tell it's July...the weather is hot and humid and the grass is super dry. Some rain would be nice. Isn't that the way it always goes....when you want rain it won't rain but when you don't want rain it does. The weather is weird like that. Today it's suppose to be 100 degrees and tomorrow isn't suppose to be any better. Hopefully this very hot streak doesn't last too much longer.
Jeff is suppose to have a tractor pull in Beresford today. I have decided to sit this one out. There is NO shade in Beresford what so ever and after a near heat stoke last year at the Irene pull when it was hot like this, I have decided to stay home today. Jeff isn't even sure he wants to venture out in this weather...who can blame him!
Last night we went to Granite, Iowa for an antique pull and to look at some tractors. It was a good time. Jeff found the tractor of his dreams there (a Minnie G1000)...so we took lots of pictures of that tractor. We watched the antique pull for a little while and then looked around at the little flea markets they had going on there. Of course they had some really good food there too so that's always a plus. Usually on Friday nights we go out to the 2nd Street Diner here in Madison, eat a '50's supper of hamburgers, fries, and milk shakes (the 2nd Street Diner is like a flash back from the 50's with EXCELLENT food), then we go randomly pick a town around here that we haven't ever been too. It's a good time and we really have fun. Next Friday we will be venturing to Howard, SD. It's not that far from here but in all the time that Jeff and I have both lived up here we have never been to Howard. I heard we aren't missing much but you never know what treasures might be in someone's yard or grove :)!
I hope everyone is able to stay cool on these super HOT summer days! God's blessings to everyone. More to come....
