As everyone can tell by the title it did RAIN at the pull on Saturday in Hull. About 30 minutes before the pull was suppose to start the sky got really really blue and of course the rain started. One of the firemen who was directing traffic would come by and tell us "This is just dust control! It'll be over in a few minutes according to the Doppler on the internet." He was right...about 15 minutes later it was done. The pull started about 30 minutes later then it was suppose to. As Jeff started to pull in his first class it started to dribble out a little but he got his pull done. In the second class it started to rain somewhat harder so I was holding an umbrella with one hand and trying to hold the video camera with the other hand. I was surprised that the video turned out at good as it did. In the 6700 lb. class Jeff got 1st!! YIPPEEE!!! He said the tractor pulled the best it has all year on Saturday. In the 7500 lb. class he got 2nd--there is something kinda fishy about that because the kid that got 1st went up to Jeff after the pull and said "Well you got me by about 5 feet." But that same kid ended up winning that one somehow. Oh well...we'll take the 2nd place too! After the rain finally went away it got super HOT outside. It felt like summer. I have the sunburn to prove it!!! Gotta love it though!
Don't get us wrong...rain is good but not on Tractor pull days :)! According to the weather guys it's suppose to be hot and dry though next week...we'll have to wait and see. We have a pull in Inwood tomorrow for their big 4th of July bash. Jeff always does good in Inwood. We are looking forward to the other festivities also.
Safe travels to everyone this 4th of July and may God's Blessings be with you all! More to come after the 4th! By the way...the picture at the beginning is a picture from last year's Hull pull. Since I'm video taping now I had to use an older picture!
